PET Carlisle Inc Volunteer, Shirley Fulton, has designed a new seat with thick durable foam for the carts built in Carlisle. Shirley is testing the new seat here. These new cushioned seats are a significant improvement to the cart design since they may prevent skin breakdown, ulcers, and infection for the end user who often spends many hours sitting in the cart. This is truly a blessing! Thank you Shirley for your dedication in creating a workstation and an amazing new seat design!
Wonderful news! PET Carlisle Inc contributed to the shipment of PET carts to the Ivory Coast in September 2015. 1040i arrived last weekend for their annual mission to the Ivory Coast and the volunteers are now unpacking and distributing the PETs built here.
Carlisle contributed 28 out of 159 adult PETs (along with 16 child PETs from TX) which were shipped (9/3) to the Ivory Coast, Africa, by 1040i – a volunteer organization focused on medical support and education to the world’s poorest nations. A medical and construction team goes there in February each year. To get an idea of the conditions where these PETs were sent, look at this video.
